About Our Rookie Lifeguard Programme

Become a water safety hero! The Rookie Lifeguard course teaches vital skills to keep yourself and others safe in and around water. Participants will learn rescue techniques, first aid, and build on their swimming abilities. This course is also a great starting point for those interested in becoming a lifeguard or swimming teacher in the future!

Suitable for ages 8 to 16, the course is open to anyone who can swim 100m confidently and is comfortable in deep water, even if they haven’t completed the core Learn to Swim pathway.
